Jurong Wang (USA)

Wang Jurong,female, born in Cangzhou,Hebei Province in 1928, and devoted all her life toWushu. She was former Professor of Shanghai Institute of Physical Education,members of China and Shanghai CPPCC, Vice-Chairman of Shanghai ArcheryAssociation, consultants of Shanghai Communication University, and FudanUniversity Martial Arts Association, and Shanghai Faction Wudang ChineseBoxing. For many times in China's national and international martial arts,archery competition, she was the chief or the deputy chief referee in China. Inthe sports field, she was the first who was special national magistrate andgeneral magistrate cin both Wushu and archery. She was very famous femalemartial artist.

At age 4 she beganto learn Wushu from his father Wang Ziping and was good at archery proficiencyin Chinese and Western technology;

1946 -- wonChampion of China's National Sports Meeting Women Chinese Boxing;

1952-- graduatedfrom Shanghai Fudan University of China;

1953-- in thewhole nation The General Assembly agreed on the form of sports won gold inWulucha Quan and, Tsing Lung Shangjian;

1954 -- from thisyear she began to teach at East China Institute of Physical Education;

1960 -- visitedMyanmar with the Premier Zhou Enlai and became the first woman martial artscoach on behalf of the state After that she been invited to go to Japan toteach Tai Chi, martial arts, and qigong for many times..

In 1989 she wentto the United States and continued to promote Chinese martial arts, focusing onassistance in the formal work of the martial arts contest. Every year, sheserved as chief referee or director of board of arbitration for U.S. andinternational Wushu competitions She was invited to act as consultants of USAWushu Association, American Institute of Chinese Martial Arts, and USA NationalWushu Federation, lifelong honorary member of USA. Pacific Women's WushuAssociation ,director of USA National Martial Arts Association, honoraryconsultants of USA Association of Chinese Wushu History and IWSD Association.

1997-- "Martial Arts LifetimeAchievement Award" awarded by USA National Wushu Federation ;

2000 -- Vice chairman of USA National WushuFederation;

2002 -- Honorary chairman of USA NationalWushu Federation;

Professor Wang Jurong is world-renownedmartial artist and martial arts educator; She once participated in theformulation, modification of "Wushu Competition Rules," audited"Dragon Sword," and "The Dragon-shaped Bagua". Her worksinclude "Chinese Boxing 20 Laws, " "Dragon and Phoenix DoubleSwords,""Martial Arts "," Youth Sports Martial Arts","Wang Ziping and Martial Arts," "Chinese Swordsmanship(English version) " and so on.
