He was born in Yunyang, Chongqing in 1948 and graduatedfrom History Department of Southwestern Teachers University. At early age heloved Wushu, qigong, calligraphy, painting, music, literature, history andepigraphy carving, He has research for many years andhave very high attainments of them.

In 1975 he began to studyXinyi Iiuhe Bafaquan and Dapeng Qigong from Mr. Shouyu Liang, He concurrentlypracticed Yang Style and Chen Style of Taijiquan and sword routine. Withcareful guidance of Mr. Liang, he has not only obtained robust physique, butalso understood Tai Chi Boxersspectrum. He has called onthat Tai Chi practice should be far away from the error: only paying attentionto the forms instead of contents, and return to the truth of Tai Chi Kung Fu.His thesis “Of Chinese Calligraphy and Tai Chi”won the best paper.
