Yuwa began training in Okinawa Karate at age 11 in Hawaiiunder Sensei G.Sasaki.At age 17 he received his first-degree black belt ,andeventually received his fifth degree black belt at age 29.

While Visiting HeilongjiangProvince in China in the early 1989s,he taught karate ard Free-Style Fightingto the Provincial Wushu team .He also taught at the Black Belt Academy, a WadoRyu Karate school ,in Bangladesh.
Today ,many of Yuwa’s Karatestudents run their own schools .
Yuwa is a co-founder of thelnternational Wushu sanshoudao Association,-degree black belt .
